CNC Lathe Machinist

Lathe MachinistWe are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our Machine Shop and contribute to the production of high-quality parts. The ideal candidate will have experience in precision machining, working with jigs and fixtures, and automating processes. A strong working knowledge of Okuma controls and the ability to create simple programs at the machine is required.ResponsibilitiesOperate machine tools to make precision metal parts.Use measuring instruments and precision tools to make metal parts.Work from drawings or other instructions to make metal parts.Essential Skills3+ years of lathe experience.Simple programming experience.3 & 4 axis experience.Working knowledge of G&M codes.Good attendance and a go-getter mentality.Additional Skills & QualificationsPossession of own tools.Manual machining experience.Additional lathe experience.Why Work Here?We offer comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage, along with a 401k plan. The shop can be noisy and loud, with temperatures that fluctuate from cold in the winter to hot in the summer. The available day shift runs from 7 AM to 3:30 PM.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tacoma, WA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $40.00/hr.
