If you have Java, Spring Boot, and microservices expertise and are looking for your next career move, apply now.Job DescriptionWe are looking for an Engineering Manager to oversee the full lifecycle of software applications across solution architecture, design, development, integration, performance testing, and maintenance. This position will be Full-Time and Hybrid .Due to our end client, candidates must be able to work on CAI's W2 without a need for sponsorship now or in the future.What You'll DoHire, train, mentor, and manage one or more Software Engineering teams (5-15 engineers), including onshore and offshore resourcesEstablish and enforce best practices across the full software development lifecycle - architecture, build, test, deploy, and maintainConduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and drive engineering standards across the teamOrganize technical work, break down requirements, and guide teams through executionSupport technical interviews and evaluate engineering talentManage the sourcing of technical resources, leveraging off-site/off-shore resources where appropriateOwn team composition, capacity planning, and resource allocation across engineering workstreamsDrive hiring strategy, onboarding, and career development for engineers on the teamManage performance, provide regular feedback, and cultivate a high-performing engineering cultureCoordinate onshore and offshore resources to maximize delivery velocity and qualityPartner with delivery and product leadership to align engineering capacity with business demand and pipeline of workDefine and drive the long-term technical vision and roadmap for the product area's backend and integration architectureIdentify opportunities for platform improvements, technical debt reduction, and scalability investmentsEvaluate and recommend new technologies, patterns, and practices that advance the engineering organizationAlign engineering strategy with broader Digital Engineering goals and RCG's technology directionBalance short-term delivery needs with long-term architectural health and sustainabilityStrong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, microservices, and systems integrationsSolid understanding of Docker/containers and Kubernetes with KustomizeProficiency with GitOps workflows (Argo CD)Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka and messaging patternsExperience with Couchbase and NoSQL database design and operationsUnderstanding of distributed systems, eventual consistency, and reactive programming patternsProven experience integrating backend services into front-end client applications (web and mobile)Background building customer-facing, large-scale, enterprise-level technology solutionsParticipate actively in Agile ceremonies to ensure overall engineering progress aligns with roadmaps and timelinesAct as the engineering point of accountability for a product area, with visibility across all technology layersIdentify risks, dependencies, and blockers across services, web, mobile, and content engineering; Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education. Benefit packages include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k retirement account access.
