Chief Operational Officer

We are looking for a hands‑on, execution-driven Chief Operating Officer who can translate vision into results. This is a leadership position for someone who thrives on building systems, developing leaders, and driving measurable performance across a multi‑site FQHC. The right candidate will bring both strategic thinking and day‑to‑day operational rigor, with a track record of improving efficiency, accountability, and team performance. Responsibilities Lead and oversee daily operations across all locations, ensuring consistency, efficiency, and high-quality patient experience Build, implement, and optimize operational systems, workflows, and KPIs Develop and mentor department leaders, creating a culture of ownership and accountability Partner with executive leadership to execute strategic growth initiatives Monitor performance metrics and proactively identify opportunities for improvement Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and organizational standards Drive initiatives that improve patient flow, revenue cycle performance, and staff productivity Oversee IT service providers and internal IT support to ensure systems are secure, up-to-date, and functioning effectively to support patient care and operations Review financial performance and partner closely with the CFO to support day-to-day financial management, budgeting, and operational decision-making Oversee the Human Resources function, including payroll, benefits administration, provider recruitment, onboarding, mentoring, and retention strategies Qualifications Requires a Master’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Human Resources, or Health Care Administration. A minimum of 5 years demonstrated management and/or supervisory skills are required with an emphasis in finance, practice management, or human resource management Knowledge and understanding of physician office practices; managed care, patient registration, reimbursement, and personnel management. Knowledge and understanding of laws and regulation on the Federal, State, and local level governing grants, health care, personnel, insurance and audits. Absolute integrity and maturity to handle the confidential aspects of the work. Ability to deal with elected and appointed officials and recognize the needs and concerns of community in relation to the health care system. Ability to recognize the needs and concerns of people and maintain constructive working relationships. Adept at problem-solving with a solid grasp of financial reporting to manage day-to-day operations. Ability to handle outside requests and inquiries calmly, adequately and in a manner that will preserve good public relations. Experience may be considered in lieu of education. #J-18808-Ljbffr
