Traveling Construction Manager – FTTH"This is a traveling role — candidates may be based anywhere in the United States."Position SummaryEssentia Infrastructure is seeking a high-performing Construction Manager to lead Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) construction projects across multiple markets. Any travel will be expensed (Airbnb's, hotels, transportation etc.)This role is responsible for overseeing field operations including safety, schedule adherence, production performance, subcontractor coordination, quality control, and client satisfaction. The Construction Manager works closely with Project Management, Engineering, and Finance teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with schedule and budget expectations.This is a field-focused leadership role emphasizing operational execution, team development, and project delivery while supporting project financial goals.Key Responsibilities1. Project Oversight & ExecutionLead FTTH construction activities from mobilization through project completionCoordinate closely with Project Managers and internal teams to support project deliveryProvide input on schedules, budgets, and construction planningTrack production progress and report impacts to project milestonesSupport quantity documentation to ensure accurate billingIdentify and communicate scope changes to project leadership2. Production & Schedule ManagementEstablish weekly production goals for internal crews and subcontractorsMonitor production metrics such as units installed per day and construction progressTrack schedule performance and escalate potential delaysAssist with recovery plans for at-risk schedulesCoordinate labor resources across projectsPromote efficient construction practices to minimize rework3. Subcontractor & Team CoordinationOversee subcontractor crews and monitor performance relative to safety, quality, and productivity expectationsProvide guidance and mentorship to field teamsCommunicate project standards and expectations to all field personnelSupport resolution of field issues impacting production and schedulePromote accountability and teamwork across crews and subcontractors4. FTTH Construction OperationsOversee aerial and underground OSP constructionEnsure compliance with permits, ROW requirements, and local regulationsSupport inspection and quality control processesMonitor restoration activities and ensure proper site conditionsEnsure accurate field redlines and as-built documentationCollaborate with Engineering, Logistics, and Project Controls teams5. Safety LeadershipPromote a strong safety culture across all construction activitiesConduct regular jobsite safety inspectionsEnsure compliance with OSHA and company safety policiesMonitor incident reporting and implement corrective actionsSupport safety training initiatives for field teams6. Reporting & CommunicationProvide weekly construction progress updates to project leadershipTrack production performance and field activity reportsCommunicate operational risks earlyMaintain consistent communication with internal teams and clientsSupport project reporting and documentation requirements7.
