Onsite - Azure Data Solutions Architect

DTLC is seeking a Master-Level Azure Data Solutions Architect to lead the design, development, and optimization of an enterprise-grade analytical data platform supporting mission-critical healthcare operations. This is a top-level technical leadership role where you will architect the platform, set the standards, and mentor the team that builds it.🔧 What You'll Do🔹 Architect the platform — Lead the design of complex, scalable data architectures (relational and NoSQL) on Azure, including schemas, indexing strategies, and row-level security models.🔹 Own performance — Serve as the go-to expert for SQL tuning, stored procedure optimization, and resolving bottlenecks in high-volume environments using tools like SQL Server Profiler.🔹 Build the pipelines — Architect and maintain ETL/ELT processes moving data into lakehouse and warehouse environments using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and the broader Azure stack.🔹 Lead the team — Mentor junior and mid-level developers, run code reviews, and champion best practices for SQL development, data modeling, and database management.🔹 Partner with leadership — Collaborate with senior management, data scientists, application developers, and business analysts to align data strategy with organizational goals.🔹 Protect the data — Define and enforce security, backup/recovery, and disaster recovery strategies in line with HIPAA, GDPR, and other regulatory requirements.🔹 Document and standardize — Build a culture of clear, comprehensive documentation across architectures, processes, and operational procedures.✅ What You Bring✔️ 15+ years of proven Master-Level experience delivering complex data and analytics solutions in commercial and government environments ✔️ Deep hands-on expertise with SQL, SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, Python, and DAX ✔️ Senior-level understanding of healthcare management systems ✔️ Track record working directly with senior executives and translating business needs into technical roadmaps ✔️ Mastery of one or more major DBMS platforms (SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL) and advanced T-SQL / PL-SQL programming ✔️ Strong command of dimensional modeling, star/snowflake schemas, and ETL tooling ✔️ Solid grounding in high-availability, clustering, replication, and capacity planning ✔️ Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills — equally comfortable with engineers and executives ✔️ Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a quantitative field (or equivalent experience)⭐ Bonus Points For➕ Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate (or equivalent) ➕ Hands-on experience with Spark, Hadoop, or other big data technologies ➕ DevOps practices — CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, infrastructure-as-code
