Confidential Employer.Job DescriptionHandle commercial litigation and general civil litigation matters from inception through resolutionDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery demands and responses, and other court filingsConduct legal research and prepare strong written work product suitable for direct client and court useAppear in court and participate in conferences, hearings, depositions, and arbitrationsManage large discovery productions, including eDiscovery workflows and document review strategyWork with forensic IT and accounting professionals on complex matters where neededMaintain direct contact with clients and provide practical updates and strategic guidanceManage numerous files and deadlines independently with strong organization and follow-throughPrepare cases for trial and assist with trial strategy, exhibits, witnesses, and related litigation tasksQualifications2+ years of commercial litigation and civil litigation experienceAdmitted to practice law in New YorkStrong hands-on experience with court appearances, depositions, motions, and discoveryExcellent legal writing and research skillsExperience handling e-filing and familiarity with New York state court procedureAbility to manage files independently and interact directly with clientsTrial and arbitration experience preferredExperience with large discovery productions, eDiscovery, and outside experts preferredWhy You Will Love Working HereWe offer the chance to do substantial litigation work in a professional but more balanced environment.
