Company: Barton MalowJob Location: St. Louis, MOPosition: MEP SuperintendentPromote and enforce a safe work environment and safe work practices for all trade contractors and the overall construction site. Supervise and coordinate various contractors to ensure their work is completed on schedule and in accordance with the contract documents. Ensure a quality product for the owner. This position will provide oversight to MEP trade partners and equipment vendors. Responsible for the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and special systems coordination and installation needs of our projects.ResponsibilitiesEnforce corporate safety policies on jobsite, providing key responsibility for safety compliance in the field.Implement proactive pre-task safety planning for all work activitiesSupervise, coordinate and sequence contractors’ workMonitor performance and coordinate work to maintain productivity of tradesOversee creation and completion of punch listFacilitate Mechanical/Electrical overhead coordinationDevelop site logistics plans for entire project to maximize productivity and minimize impacts to building occupantsDevelop and maintain complete and detailed project schedule and manage work in accordance with the scheduleDemonstrate fiscal responsibility by enforcing contract requirements and limiting field changesAssist with development of work scopes and front end documents that comply with applicable trade jurisdictionsCommunicate effectively with the Project ManagerEffect timely resolution of conflicts and disputes to minimize delays and claimsRequirementsMinimum 6 years of relevant experienceStrong Mechanical and Electrical aptitude4 year technical/engineering degree or equivalent field experienceOSHA 30 hour preferredBarton Malow is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, religion, age, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, height, weight or marital status.
