They provide support to the Banquets Manager, while maintaining high standards of service and professionalism.Essential Functions(These functions are intended as a general illustration of the work performed in this job classification and are not all inclusive for this position)Exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations and Hard Rock Casino policies and procedures.Coordinates all aspects of banquets and special events, ensuring smooth executions and exceptional guest service.Ensure that all guests are promptly and courteously served.Assists in the development and implementation of event plans, including timelines, layouts, and staffing requirements.Inspects event spaces and equipment to ensure they are clean, well maintained, and set up according to client specifications.Ensures the cleanliness of the bar throughout the shift including continually wiping down the bottles and the bar, removing dirty glassware and dishes, etc.Provides guidance and assistance to team members in day-to-day tasks.Perform other duties as assigned.Non-essential Job FunctionsAttend seminars when needed.Education And /Or Experience Requirements(Related education and experience may be interchangeable on a year for year basis)High School diploma required.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: (Licenses, Certifications, Testing, etc.):Must obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Illinois Gaming Board standards. Must successfully pass background check.Must maintain strict confidentiality relative to financial data and casino policies.Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.Knowledge OfEvent planning and execution, including knowledge of event logistics, timelines, and layouts.Ability ToBe flexible to work varying shifts and time schedules as needed.Obtain and maintain all appropriate licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations.Provide exceptional guest service.Communicate effectively with guests in English, specific to position duties and responsibilities.Speak, read write, and understand basic English to communicate effectively with all guests.Be friendly, helpful personality enabling one to handle guest relations pleasantly and effectively.Stand for long periods of time (up to four hours in length).
