THE ROLEWe are looking for a motivated, early‑career Business Operations Analyst & Project Manager to join our Business Operations and NPI organization.This is an opportunity for someone with 3–5 years of experience who is excited to learn, build new processes, and grow into owning broader responsibilities over time.You will work across Manufacturing, NPI, Order Management, and Capacity Planning, supporting cross‑functional operations throughout the product lifecycle. This role is hands‑on: you’ll integrate data, streamline workflows, help drive improvement projects, and collaborate with teams across Engineering, Sales, IT, Marketing, and Global Operations.THE PERSONYou are curious, analytical, and energized by solving operational problems. You enjoy diving into data, improving processes, and working with cross‑functional teams. Most importantly, you’re looking for a role where you can develop new skills, expand your ownership, and thrive in a fast‑moving, evolving environment.This role is ideal for someone who likes building structure—not just maintaining it.Key ResponsibilitiesData Integration & Light Systems DevelopmentDevelop and evolve lightweight tools and processes that bring together data from multiple functional domains. The focus is to connect information in different legacy systems and/or generated manually.Utilize Excel, Power BI, Python, SQL, Power-Query, AI application (i.e. Claude) or other available tools to build useful, reliable information sets for the team. What is required is a savvy user of productivity tools, not a programmer to rapidly create simple models and applications to support business processes that adapt as the business mature.Work with internal IT or external vendors to mature data flows and reporting automation over time.NPI Logistics & Planning SupportSupport NPI Program Managers by consolidating schedules, shipment data, and cross‑functional inputsSupport NPI Program Managers in managing local physical inventory of boards and executing and tracking engineering sample shipmentsReportingCreate and distribute recurring reports to support operational decision‑makingDevelop templates, structures, and methods that scale as the business growsContinuously improve reporting quality, accuracy, and automationCross‑Functional CollaborationRepresent the Business Ops & NPI function in cross‑functional meetings where appropriateSupport project execution by coordinating actions, tracking progress, and escalating issuesProvide structured updates to stakeholders within NTSGPreferred QualificationsSkilled experience in supply chain, business operations, finance, IT/application development, consulting, or related fieldsStrong analytical and logical thinking skillsExpert level knowledge with Excel, familiarity with Power BI and Anthropic Claude is required; Power Query, SQL or Python is a plus (not required at expert level)Project management experience (formal or informal)Understanding of ERP/MRP/CRM systems and how data flow across business functionsStrong service orientation and attention to detailAbility to manage several tasks in a dynamic, fast‑paced environmentExcellent communication and collaboration skillsGrowth mindset and genuine interest in learning and improving processes, hand-on attitude.ACADEMIC CREDENTIALSBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, or related discipline.LOCATION:Santa Clara, CAThis role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
