This role ensures the timely movement, stocking, and organization of materials to keep operations running smoothly. Materials include in-house manufactured buffers, dock deliveries of raw materials, and assorted packages (Amazon, Staples, non-lab items).The ideal candidate will have experience in material handling, inventory management, and lean manufacturing. Must maintain accurate records, demonstrate strong customer service skills, and possess intermediate computer/data entry skills. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted is required.Job ResponsibilitiesMaintain steady flow of materials to production lines, R&D, and quality controlSign for received materials and verify against packing slipsHandle discrepancies or damaged goods per procedureLog incoming materials (supplier, tracking #, recipient, date, storage temperature)Collaborate with production teams to resolve material shortagesAssist in unloading deliveries and verify against purchase ordersPerform SAP data entryDeliver materials to appropriate personnelEnsure proper handling/storage of chemical, biological, and hazardous materialsDeliver packages, research animals, and temperature-sensitive materialsDistribute copy paper to designated locationsMaintain inventory of department suppliesParticipate in regulatory and safety trainingReport issues to supervisor in a timely mannerMaintain clean and organized warehouse areasProvide accurate, timely, and courteous customer serviceFollow EH&S policies and report unsafe conditionsWork within a Lean Manufacturing environmentPerform additional duties as assignedEducation and ExperienceHigh school diploma required2-4 years of experience in materials distribution (shipping/receiving/inventory) or equivalentExperience with temperature-sensitive products preferredKnowledge and SkillsStrong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skillsProficiency in Excel, Word, and other software systemsFamiliarity with SAP and/or Lotus Notes preferredAbility to follow policies and proceduresStrong verbal communication skillsBasic math skills requiredAbility to read, write, and communicate in EnglishAbility to lift up to 50 lbs unassistedPhysical DemandsAbility to routinely lift up to 50 pounds unassistedWork EnvironmentLabWarehouseOffice Environment
