Details Pediatric ICU (PICU) setting within a children's hospital 19-bed PICU unit Patient ratio of 1:2 or greater Night shift: 4x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30 Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) required Floating to Pediatrics and NICU may be required based on skill set and hospital needs Charting system: Epic Medtronic pacemakers and telemetry monitoring experience required Experience with BiPAP/CPAP, mechanical ventilators, high-flow nasal cannula, and tracheostomies required 13-week contract Requirements Active NJ or Compact RN license required Minimum 3 years of PICU critical care experience required 1 year of cardiac experience strongly preferred; both PICU and cardiac experience must be documented on the skills checklist Certifications required: BLS and PALS; NRP preferred Proficiency with Medtronic pacemakers and telemetry monitoring Hands-on experience with BiPAP/CPAP, mechanical ventilation, high-flow nasal cannula, and trach care SSN and DOB required for consideration Two current professional references required First-time travelers are not accepted for this position Additional Information Navy blue scrubs required Local candidates are accepted at the same rate Former RWJBH staff (full-time or PRN) must have been separated from the RWJBH health system for a minimum of 1 year before being eligible for a travel assignment American Traveler Job ID P-687978.
