Now Seeking: Board of Directors Members | Cues For Cancer | Hampton Roads, VAHybrid | Volunteer | Multiple Positions AvailableAt Cues For Cancer, we believe the performing arts have the power to heal — and that no one should face a cancer journey alone.We are a Norfolk-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that uses the power of the performing arts to inspire hope, build community, and create transformative experiences for individuals and families affected by cancer. We are growing — and we are looking for extraordinary people to grow with us.We are currently seeking multiple Board of Directors members rooted in the Hampton Roads community who are ready to show up — not just in the boardroom, but in the field.Who We’re Looking For:This is not a passive board seat. We are looking for leaders who are deeply connected to Hampton Roads, genuinely passionate about arts-based healing and community wellness, and ready to roll up their sleeves alongside our team and the communities we serve.Ideal candidates will bring:✅ 5+ years of professional experience in their field✅ Active ties to and investment in the Hampton Roads region✅ A network that can open doors — partnerships, funding, visibility, and community connection✅ Experience or strong affinity in one or more of the following areas:— Performing arts, entertainment, or creative industries— Healthcare, oncology, or community health— Nonprofit governance, law, or finance— Marketing, communications, or public relations— Corporate partnerships, philanthropy, or development— Education, social services, or community advocacy✅ A willingness to be present — at events, in the community, and at the tableWhat Board Service Looks Like:This is a hybrid role — while meetings and governance work can be conducted virtually, we are specifically seeking individuals based in the Hampton Roads area who can engage on the ground with our programs, partners, and community members.Time Commitment: Up to 10 hours per monthCompensation: This is a volunteer position.
