STG will provide immigration and permanent residency sponsorship assistance to those candidates who need it.The TEP Program Operations Associate supports General Motors’ Technical Education Program (TEP), an award-winning, corporate-sponsored initiative that delivers high-impact technical learning to GM employees through partnerships with top universities. As part of GM's Global Talent Engineering Learning and Development team, this role ensures smooth execution of academic programming, student engagement, university coordination, and operational logistics across multiple program cycles. The associate will focus on operational execution, learner experience, and stakeholder relationship management. They will manage multiple projects simultaneously, synthesize information from many sources, and keep students and partners informed through clear, concise communication. The ideal candidate is approachable, highly organized, and a strong, self-directed learner who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. They are comfortable taking ownership once shown a process, exercising sound judgment in student-facing decisions, and partnering with the TEP Program Systems Analyst who owns deep analytics and metrics work.Key ResponsibilitiesCourse Planning & RegistrationMaintain and update the Master Course Schedule (MCS), including 2–5 year projections.Build and revise course catalogs and registration forms.Update registration dates and student eligibility records.Conduct enrollment checks and ensure data accuracy.Support student registration processes.Support development and launch of new certificate and degree programs.Coordinate course offerings via the Request for Proposals (RFP) process (4x/year).Administer and document academic policies and procedures.Support executive and university partnership reviews.Learner Experience, Engagement & AdvisingProvide daily support via email, Teams, Slack, and Viva Engage.Advise students on admissions, registration, LOA, plan of study, and graduation.Respond to inquiries regarding program selection and university requirements.Guide learners through academic pathways and program milestones.Foster learner success through timely, clear, and personalized communication.Log and track student inquiries and maintain service records.Support nomination and selection processes for funded organizations.• Support curriculum development initiatives.• Monitor shared mailboxes and distribute communications appropriately.Stakeholder & University Relationship Management• Serve as an approachable, professional point of contact for university partners, internal stakeholders, and students.• Coordinate with faculty, program coordinators, and internal leaders to support course offerings and program operations.• Support executive and university partnership reviews with clear, concise updates and documentation.• Help ensure alignment between TEP offerings, learner needs, and GM’s strategic priorities.Coordinate with Finance: Billing & Registrations• Reconcile TEP and university registration data to support invoice processing.• Assist in creating and sharing registration-related expense forecasts with Global Talent Finance.• Assist with billing issue resolution and ensure timely documentation.• Provide accurate operational inputs that enable the data/finance team to monitor and report on financial metrics.Student Records & Approvals• Process student approvals and maintain active student lists.• Manage certificate and non-degree program approvals.• Reconcile registration lists and maintain vital records and documentation.Marketing & Communications• Develop and implement strategies to increase program visibility and awareness.• Host informational sessions and support creation of promotional content.• Maintain and update the TEP website, SharePoint, Lists, and Slack pages.• Draft and send concise, targeted communications to learners and stakeholders.Alumni Engagement• Maintain the alumni database and facilitate alumni network activities.• Support alumni feedback surveys (e.g., 2–3 years post-graduation).• Track high-level engagement and support alumni communications.Data, Reporting & Process Improvement (in partnership with the TEP Program Systems Analyst)• Maintain accurate program records and operational data needed for reporting.• Collaborate with the TEP Program Systems Analyst to supply clean, well-organized information for dashboards, analyses, and internal reports.• Help document key university dates and maintain operational calendars.• Support continuous improvement by identifying process gaps, suggesting enhancements, and helping implement updated workflows and tools.• Assist with system change management and tool deployment (e.g., updates to SharePoint, Lists, forms) from an operational user perspective.Resume Submittal Instructions: Interested/qualified candidates should email their word formatted resumes to Ms. Kavitha Shanmugham at kavitha.shanmugham(@)stgit.com and/or contact her at 248-712-6727.
