Summary:McLean Packaging is a designer and manufacturer of corrugated packaging and displays for retail and eCommerce. The packaging industry has never been more promising. The rise of e-commerce has created many opportunities and retail continues to flourish.Responsibilities/Duties:Prospecting:Develop your own leads, qualify companies, confirm credit on possible prospectsCreate strategies to approach companies that prove the innovation and capabilities of McLeanWork with internal resources to develop solutions and the right approach to customer problems/opportunitiesDocument all account activity for each company and contactProvide updates and progress reports on all activityDevelop a schedule to visit retail and conduct research to stay current with trends of the marketplace, prospects and customer baseContinuously qualify and grow prospect listIn today's environment, sales rep is required to come up with creative ways to communicate to prospects and customersAccount Management:Lead internal support team on the daily activity of the account – design, pricing, approvals, receipt of purchase orders, new order meetings, customer press approvals, logisticsManage and communicate customer expectations for the overall business and the different stages of a projectLook for opportunities to increase our reach within the customer’s organization for new relationships and new businessWork with quality and operations to address and resolve customer complaintsDevelop account plan to establish a road map to achieve account goals to maintain and grow businessKeep account receivables current with agreed upon termsEntertain customer when appropriateGeneral:Maintain professionalism with customers and McLean staff at all timesFocus on profitable business and ways to reduce or eliminate costStay current with the competition and the marketplaceQualifications:At least 2 years of sales experience requiredDegree in related field preferred
