Maintenance Technician/ cleaning

Job Summary We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician with cleaning experience to join our team. This role involves performing routine maintenance, repairs, and cleaning tasks to ensure the safety, cleanliness, and proper functioning of our facilities. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to maintenance issues and a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment for all staff and visitors. Responsibilities Conduct regular inspections of equipment, machinery, and facilities to identify maintenance needs Perform preventive maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, or plumbing issues as they arise Maintain cleanliness of work areas, restrooms, and common spaces in accordance with safety standards Assist with setup and breakdown for events or special projects requiring facility adjustments Keep detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed Follow safety protocols and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Qualifications Proven experience in maintenance, repair, or cleaning roles preferred Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems is a plus Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot effectively Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods Prior experience in cleaning or custodial work is desirable Ability to pass background checks and adhere to safety standards This role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to the upkeep of our facilities while ensuring a safe and clean environment for everyone.
