Part-Time Security Officer: Sat-Tues(3-11p)

Job OverviewThe Security Officer for ParkX Management ensures that the facility is run smoothly, safely, cleanly, and is a good experience for residents, tenants, and guests.Key ResponsibilitiesComplete hourly patrol route of the property using the security systemAccess control for guests, tenants and vendorsEnsure no property is being damagedConduct of routine foot patrols in and around building.Perform other duties as assigned Observation and reporting of safetyIssue Banning notices to rule violators Maintain file for Ban Notices and notify management when necessaryMaintain the appearance of the two plaza kiosks Enforce the “no dogs on the plaza” policyKeep updated information (e.g., Kiss N Ride, Contact Phone #’s, Rules of Conduct) and communicate to guests as neededReport any unknown work that is occurring at the property to managementIf anyone parks illegally on the plaza, notify Park X, Commercial property management, and Residential property management immediately Communicate to guests that we must keep the fire access areas accessible for fire trucks and ambulancesClose loading dock doors as neededReport any concerns to managementReston and Loudoun Station: Assist the Marketing team before, during, and after events as neededReston Station: Manage the valet; ensure that cars are not being parked on the plaza or on the down rampReston Station: For Special event, ensure that the plaza marketing plan is followedReston Station: Manage traffic coming onto the plaza and keep it movingQualificationsHigh School DiplomaMust be certified security officer by the District of ColumbiaMinimum of at least 1 year experience in customer-service related field Valid driver's license without major violationsFlexibility to work after hours and weekends, as neededOutgoing personality with ability to relate to diverse group of people and build/maintain strong relationshipsStrong sense of urgencyStrong problem-solving, time management and communication skillsMust be highly credible and trustworthy, and operate with high degree of integrityMust hold oneself and others accountable and strive for a high level of excellenceMust have a positive, can-do attitude and be able to fuel growth and innovationMust be customer-focused and results-orientedMust want to continuously learn and developExceptional oral and written communication, active listening, and organizational skillsAbility to establish strong working relationships with others in team setting Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks with a strong attention to detail in a fast-paced environment Self-directed and able to work independently, with minimal supervisionPhysical Demands & Work EnvironmentRequired to stand for long periods and walk, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, and/or reachPush, pull or lift up to 50 poundsContinuous repetitive motionsWork under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold), under variable noise levels, outdoors/indoors, around fumes and/or hazards, around dust and/or mite hazards, around chemicals and bio-hazardsBenefitsCompensation:Benefit Package:401K MatchCareer Development Opportunities for Advancement within our expanding portfolioEmployee Perks (to name a few): Free Parking and EV charging Parental Leave Program Enjoy a Friendly Work Environment that values collaborationNote benefits vary depending on the function of your roleThe wage range listed for this position reflects a reasonable estimate and considers multiple factors that influence compensation decisions. Any award under this program is subject to its rules and may depend on individual and organizational performance.DC Compensation Range: $18 USD - $20 USD
