The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for educating prospects on products through face-to-face visits, calls, trainings, and presentations, and providing existing customers with exceptional support.Key Responsibilities/Essential DutiesGenerate leads, builds relationships and secures appointments within defined selling territory and target markets that lead to confirmed orders/contractsRepresents our company's services, starting with a deep and comprehensive understanding of our solutions, identifying customer challenges and providing solutions for those challengesMaximize referral network through participation in industry events and organizationsMonitor current market trends, selling techniques, competitor information and industry standards through independent research and company provided resourcesProvide excellent response times to customer inquiriesPrepare and issues quotes, submit orders through internal systems, and follows up with customers after receipt of product/services to ensure satisfactionMaintain records or contacts, visits, calls, meetings, etc. on Company sales reportsProvide input to Management as required for the development of sales targets for the market segment/territoryCommunicate effectively with other departments/colleagues as required to complete customer order fulfillmentRequired Skills/AbilitiesResults driven - Demonstrated ability in meeting sales objectivesImpeccable interpersonal communication skillsThorough understanding of the industry and industry trendsFamiliarity with marketing strategies and consumer psychologyProficiency with the word processing, spreadsheet and presentation softwareAbility to establish and expand relationships with key executives and decision makers within each customer organization in the territory.Must be persistent, energetic and entrepreneurial and available for local travel.Prior experience in the wire rope fabrication, construction, equipment, or tool industry is preferred.Other RequirementsPass pre-employment drug and alcohol screen and criminal background checkBe able to provide valid documentation to provide proof of citizenship in accordance with I-9 documentDisplay a professional and courteous attitudeReport to work at the designated start timeWilling to travel to various work sites or training as requiredWilling to work overtime when necessaryStrictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures and comply with the Company's "Stop Work" policyWear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designation operations and production areas as directedHave the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers and Supervisor with other duties as requiredEducation and ExperienceHigh School Diploma, Associate degree (Preferred)3+ years of successful outside sales experience, experience in industrial sales strongly preferredMust be persistent, energetic, and entrepreneurialPC proficiency.Working Conditions, Hours, TravelHeavy travel by car to current and potential client locations throughout a defined region/territory.
