Pet Care Advocate – Professional Level (PCA Pro)Join our team!Pay: $17–$19/hourFull time:Tuesday-Thursday 9:30AM-Close (6:00PM)Friday-Saturday 9:30AM-Close (3:00PM)About Us:Neighborhood Vet is a new type of veterinary clinic designed around primary care and the pet owner’s and pet’s experience. We focus on the most common services and preventative care for dogs and cats. We love animals, but we know this is just as much a people-first role—building trust, communicating clearly, and supporting pet owners is central to everything we do. As a start-up we are building a team that can adapt, grow, and help us develop.To be successful at our clinic, you need to have a positive attitude, to leave the drama at the door, and strive to be the best pet advocate you can be.What You’ll Do:Assist veterinary team with exams, treatments, and routine procedures.Perform laboratory work and prepare diagnostic samples.Communicate clearly with clients about treatment plans, visits, some test results, medications and medical updates.Maintain accurate medical records in practice management software.Mentor and support teammates, helping the clinic run smoothly.Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized clinic.Learn and adapt to new technologies and workflows as the clinic grows.Participate in community events and outreach.Contribute to the clinic team in any capacity necessary, supporting staff, clients, and patients as needs arise.Skills & Qualifications:Confident, safe handling of dogs and cats using low-stress techniques.Competence in blood draws, vaccines, lab work, injections, minor wound care, skin and ear treatments and medication prep.Professional, client-facing demeanor-friendly and approachable.Comfortable learning and using veterinary software and other digital tools.Team-oriented, adaptable, and detail-oriented.Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs, stand, kneel, and move comfortably throughout the day.Weekend availability and scheduling flexibility.Minimum 3 years of veterinary experience preferred.
