Maintenance Reliability Engineer
Your Role at a GlancePlanningPlan, evaluate, organize, and implement installation, maintenance, and repair activities to minimize production downtime and maximize employee safety.Coordinate maintenance activities with other departments to ensure smooth execution.Implement and support the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), specifically SAP.Ensure maintenance tasks, documentation, and work orders are properly planned and scheduledCoordinationMaintain maintenance project schedules for rebuilds, small OPEX projects, and scheduled down days.Monitor project progress, coordinate activities, and resolve issues to keep projects on track.Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.Collaborate with plant managers and supervisors to secure resources for maintenance projects.Reliability Engineering FunctionsDrive Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) strategies using:Root Cause Analysis (RCA)Preventive Maintenance Optimization (PMO)Predictive Maintenance (oil analysis, motor signature analysis, thermography, vibration analysis)Spare parts management and criticality analysisPredictive & Preventive MaintenanceManage predictive maintenance programs including thermal scanning, ultrasonic testing, and vibration monitoring.Analyze predictive maintenance data to ensure proper preventive maintenance activities are executed.Work with maintenance supervisors to ensure Professional Maintenance (PM) tasks are completed to high standards.Develop and optimize PMs using PMO, RCM, and FMEA methodologies.Engineering & AnalysisLead and perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).Conduct root cause analysis and implement sustainable countermeasures.Review engineering specifications and design modifications for reliability and maintainability.Maintain equipment performance records using SAP.Prepare and maintain technical documentation including data sheets, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.Analyze and present data to support continuous improvement in reliability and maintainability.Asset ManagementSupport the Master Asset Renewal Plan (MARP) throughout the asset life cycle.Participate in design, installation, commissioning, and acceptance testing of new equipment.Develop acceptance tests and inspection criteria for new installations.Guide efforts to ensure reliability of equipment, utilities, controls, and safety systems.Risk & Failure AnalysisContribute to risk management plans addressing reliability‐related and non‐reliability risks.Develop engineering solutions to repetitive failures and operational issues involving capacity, quality, cost, or compliance.Apply analytical tools such as:Statistical Process ControlReliability modeling and predictionFault Tree AnalysisWeibull AnalysisSix Sigma methodologiesPerformance & Cost AnalysisWork with Production to analyze:Asset utilizationOEERemaining useful lifeOperating condition and cost driversApply value analysis to repair/replace, repair/redesign, and make/buy decisions.ProjectsReview projects for continuity, completeness, and alignment with reliability goals.Assist with capital project management as needed.Maintain communication with all project personnel and stakeholders.Conduct periodic project meetings and updates.Personnel LeadershipDetermine project staffing needs in coordination with supervisors and managers.Use staffing charts to track progress and maintain project timelines.Supervise project staff and delegate technical tasks appropriately.Recognize when additional support is needed to meet schedules.Safety & EnvironmentalContinuously evaluate the workplace for safety concerns and support behavioral safety initiatives.Enforce plant rules, safety regulations, and 5S housekeeping standards.Coordinate proposed changes with Production, Maintenance, and Safety Managers using the change management system.Cost Management* Work with Maintenance and Production Managers to manage OPEX funds.* Provide input for the annual maintenance budget.Training* Support Autonomous Maintenance by training operators and ensuring equipment basic conditions are maintained.* Provide technical training for operators and maintenance personnel.What Sets You ApartWe're looking for individuals who bring the right mix of experience, mindset, and motivation:Strong working knowledge of TPM, RCA, predictive and preventive maintenance systems, and visual plant concepts.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proven planning and organizational abilities.Strong leadership with a sense of ownership and results orientation.Working knowledge of Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing (or willingness to learn on the job).Experience in continuous
