Candidate must be authorized to work in USA without requiring sponsorship *** Location: Remote – Must be able to work EST hours Duration: 12 months contract w/ possibility of extensionSpecial Notes:Contractor must provide their own computer, webcam for video conferencing, cell phone, and reliable high-speed internet access.No travel required.Job Description:The GIS Project Manager will provide Geographic Information System (GIS) support for all Program Areas within the Data Solutions team.The selected candidate will be responsible for supporting enterprise GIS operations, developing, and maintaining geospatial datasets, and creating complex mapping solutions to support organizational initiatives.Perform GIS data creation, editing, and maintenance activities.Develop custom maps for complex projects and organizational tasks.Support maintenance and administration of the Enterprise GIS platform.Assist staff with GIS platform access, troubleshooting, and ongoing support.Manage the ArcGIS Online (AGOL) environment, including data uploads, maintenance, and publishing activities.Create maps using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online for internal and public-facing applications.Collaborate with Web Development teams to publish online mapping solutions for authority websites.Access enterprise SQL databases and develop SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.Utilize Python scripting within ESRI ArcGIS environments to automate workflows and streamline GIS processes.Support geocoding activities, including data preparation, import, processing, and export into various formats, including SQL enterprise database tables.Perform additional duties that contribute to the objectives and success of the Data Solutions team.Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree required.Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with ESRI ArcGIS Professional GIS desktop software.Strong experience creating and editing geospatial datasets and producing complex maps from multiple data sources.Experience with US Census Bureau data sources and advanced query capabilities.Proficiency with ESRI ArcGIS Online, including publishing data and creating public-facing maps.Experience supporting ArcGIS Enterprise environments and assisting users with access and technical issues.Strong Python scripting experience specific to ESRI ArcGIS environments for process automation and workflow optimization.Familiarity with SQL enterprise databases and writing SQL query statements for data extraction and analysis.Experience using ESRI ArcGIS Professional Geocoding tools, including data preparation, import, geocoding, and export functions.Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to manage multiple ongoing assignments with attention to detail and productivity.Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.Nice to haves:Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) certification preferred.ESRI ArcGIS Professional Certification preferred.Familiarity with web accessibility standards related to online mapping solutions.Experience working within Azure virtual environments.Experience supporting enterprise GIS deployments and public-sector GIS initiatives.I'd love to talk to you if you think this position is right up your alley, and assure a prompt communication, whichever direction.
