The Camp Director oversees and is responsible for: all summer camp personnel; meeting all state required regulations for licensure; the integrity and implementation of the curriculum; and above all - the safety of all campers.Reports directly to the Executive Director of Summer Camps for direction and support.Additional tasks include: maintaining positive communication and relationships with the school staff and points of contact; parent communication; medical and emergency procedures manager.Position DetailsCamp Director - Summer Camp Jobs 2026Job Description: The Camp Director's role is to supervise, coach, and provide constructive feedback to a minimum of six direct reports, while working closely with Summer Camp Advisory Team Headquarters to ensure that each camper has a safe and rewarding experience. Camp Directors are enthusiastic, organized, and motivated individuals. They are confident in their ability to supervise counselor leads, as well as interact with campers, parents, counselors and facility partners. This position will closely and directly monitor all programs to guarantee they are executed to IDEAS Camp's standards. Extremely high energy and endurance is required for the Camp Director position. The Camp Director is the "Last-Word Leader onsite" at all times. The Camp Director must live IDEAS Camp's core values at all times, be a pillar of consistent effort, and a role model for all camp staff members. The Camp Director must always prioritize operating a safe camp, while being a proactive resource, problem solver and sounding board for all parent concerns.
