Billing AssistantThis is an exciting opportunity to work for one of the top law firms in the U.S.! Davis Wright Tremaine LLP is looking for a Billing Assistant to join our team in our Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, or Los Angeles offices. This position offers the flexibility to be fully remote while working within reasonable commuting distance from any of our offices. This position is responsible for providing assistance to the Billing Team, including maintenance of work-in-progress records, creating and revising client invoices, and other tasks as assigned. The Billing Assistant will assist with ad hoc reporting requests, time entry updates, and other billing system maintenance tasks. Regardless of position, everyone here has a voice and the support is unparalleled.On a typical day you will:Use Aderant Expert Billing to process prebills and generate invoices in compliance with attorney instructions and client guidelinesProvide out-of-office and overflow coverage for Billing Specialists and Billing ProofreadersWork in collaboration with E-Billing Department, Rates Team, and other Finance teams to ensure invoices are processed accurately and in a timely mannerMonitor, reroute, and assist with tasks in the centralized Billing inboxProvide reporting support to legal assistants and attorneys to meet client-required accrual deadlinesRespond to attorney inquiries regarding time entry records and general billing requestsAssist with billing system updates such as task and activity codes, narrative edits, and time entry modifications upon requestAssist with Finance projects, as needed, to promote best practicesMaintain regular and consistent attendance and punctuality; adhere to schedule by being timely on breaks, lunches and meetingsJoin us if you have:1+ years of relevant experience in a professional office environmentHigh School diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferredAdvanced skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft WordStrong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to build effective relationships with all levels of staff and attorneysExcellent customer serviceAbility to problem-solveHigh degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and quality controlAbility to manage multiple tasks and adapt to heavy workloads and new assignments in a fast paced environmentAbility to work overtime as neededDavis Wright Tremaine LLP is an AmLaw 100 law firm with 9 offices nationwide.
