Part time Title Clerk

Responsibilities Process on-road, off-road, and watercraft vehicle titling and registration (including out-of-state). Reassign incoming titles from trades-ins and outright vehicle purchases Process lien payoffs and outright purchase checks Notify customers when title paperwork is available with an option to pick up or mail out Resolve titling issues through interaction with customers, dealers, and regulatory agencies Follow-up with different lending institutions on the release of ELT and physical titles Verify the accuracy of completed forms Ensure appropriate inspections are requested from third parties Run administrative and titling errands within town, including: Albany County Courthouse (Clerk's Office, Treasurer's Office) Post Office Local lending institutions Some light accounting, AP/AR, and cash management duties as assigned by management Perform other duties as assigned by managementRequirements Careful attention to detail Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Excellent communication and customer service skills: Verbally: in person and over the phone Written: by email/direct messaging and physical correspondence General computer proficiency Ability to meet deadlines and to work well under pressureSkills And Experience Preferred, Not Required Vehicle title experience Notary certification Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace Applications General accounting experience, including: AP/AR Financial account reconciliations Cash management General ledgerSchedule Availability at least half day on Mondays is needed Scheduling during regular business hours (Tuesday-Saturday 8:30am to 5:30pm) Suggested Monday through Wednesday work days!
