3rd Shift Fabrication Technician

Production OperatorJoin our Fabrication team as an Production Operator on 3rd shift. In this role, you'll work hands-on with glass components, shaping, smoothing, and inspecting them to meet exacting standards. You'll combine technical skill, attention to detail, and precision measurement to ensure every part meets quality requirements.What You'll Do:Set up fixtures and secure parts for grinding, polishing, and finishingOperate both CNC and manual grinding equipmentMix and maintain polishing compounds and toolsAccurately measure optical and geometric properties of componentsExamine surfaces under a microscope to detect imperfectionsFollow step-by-step instructions, read technical drawings, and ensure parts meet specificationsKeep your workspace organized, clean, and safeRecord part data and updates in our electronic tracking systemWork in accordance with ISO 9001 standards and safety regulationsWhat You Bring:High School Diploma or GEDBasic computer skills (Excel, Word)Strong communication skills for collaborating with coworkers, engineers, and supervisorsExcellent manual dexterity and a strong work ethicSharp eyesight, solid math ability, and meticulous attention to detailComfort using measurement tools, reading blueprints, maintaining records, and following organized processesExtra Credit:Associate degree or technical training in a related fieldExperience in a manufacturing setting, including quality checks and troubleshootingHands-on experience in optical fabrication, microscopes, or precision measurementBackground operating grinding, cutting, or polishing machines (manual or CNC)We are always looking for candidates who have some mechanical abilities, want a long term stable position, and want to learn new skills.
