Level 2 Installer
Project will be decommissioning and removing equipment from carrier sites in NJ and NY. A few of the cities include: Red Bank, Jersey City, Roselle, Perth Amboy, and Morristown.We need four Level 2 Installers. We are seeking resources located in the New Jersey market area. We are performing Decom (removal) work for Telecommunication in New Jersey, and NYC. Eventually these technicians may be asked to travel for additional projects. For the time being the concentration is New Jersey.Please stick to Level 2 bill rates. Please keep in mind that we are open to various types of resources beyond Central Office Installers. Candidates with experience in Low Voltage/Structured Cabling, Data Center, and Wireless will be considered. Resources must be reliable, hard working, quality focused, and have reliable transportation. Resources open to future travel work would be ideal, but we will consider those willing to work only locally.The installers should have their own basic hand tools (wrenches, screwdrivers). CBM will provide power tools. CBM recommends that resources wear steel toe boots as the team is working with heavy equipment.The project is currently day work, and the team says the work will remain day work for the foreseeable future. However, occasionally resources may be asked to work a night shift.Please ensure that all candidate submissions include an up-to-date resume, a recruiter-written summary, the bill rate, and their home city/state. We will try to work with those times the best we can.LEVEL 2o Perform basic power operations such as mounting relay rack or cabinet fuse panels and perform the termination of power feeders. This also includes the running and termination of local power leads from fuse panels to various units within a relay rack or cabinet.o Interpret job specifications, floor plans, equipment and wiring drawingso Perform complex wiring operationso Perform basic installation testing, such as power verification, continuity, Cat5/6 testing and fiber optic loss testing.o Prepare, connect and test coaxial and fiber optic cablingInterpret, Client out and analyze job Method of Procedures, job specifications, floor plans, equipment and wiring documentationInterface with Job Supervisor/Project Manager and Engineering to resolve any order issues. Correct on site job specifications, drawings, documentation.In-Charge, lead and provide work assignments for Level 1 and 2 installers.Perform installation testing, such as power verification, hardware provisioning and system tests. .During removal operations perform cable verification and cable mining operations.Meet Network Equipment Installation/Quality Standards as prescribed by Customer requirementsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Level 3 installer should have minimum 4-6 years experience as a Level 2 installer.Should possess a good mechanical aptitudeShould possess a good knowledge of basic power toolsShould have the ability to adapt to various work environmentsSolid grasp of basic electrical theoryProficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and the Internet; must be adept at learning different computer programs and business systems.Must have clean driving and criminal records and successfully pass a drug testTest equipment, tools and materials used in construction, installation, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of telecommunications systems and equipment.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
