Interim Consultant Director of Property ManagementA privately held real estate investment and operating firm is seeking an Interim Consultant Director of Property Management to provide operational leadership and strategic oversight across a portfolio of Class A commercial office assets.This consultant will work closely with ownership and executive leadership to evaluate current property operations, improve organizational effectiveness, enhance tenant experience, and implement scalable best practices across the portfolio.The ideal candidate is a highly experienced commercial real estate operator with deep expertise managing institutional-quality office properties, leading high-performing teams, and driving operational excellence within Class A environments.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide interim leadership and operational oversight for a portfolio of Class A commercial office propertiesEvaluate and optimize property management processes, reporting structures, and operational proceduresPartner with ownership, asset management, engineering, and leasing teams to improve asset performance and tenant satisfactionReview building operations, vendor management, budgeting, financial reporting, tenant relations, and capital project executionEstablish accountability metrics and operational KPIs across property management teamsAssess staffing structures and provide mentorship to property managers, assistant property managers, and building operations personnelImprove tenant retention strategies and overall service delivery standardsSupport annual budgeting, CAM reconciliations, and operating expense managementEvaluate compliance, risk management, and building operational standardsAssist with transition planning, operational due diligence, and portfolio growth initiatives as neededRecommend systems, technology, and process improvements to support operational scalabilityQualifications10+ years of progressive commercial property management experienceSignificant experience overseeing Class A office buildings and institutional commercial assetsPrior experience as Director of Property Management, Regional Director, Vice President of Property Management, or equivalent senior leadership roleStrong understanding of commercial building operations, tenant relations, budgeting, financial reporting, vendor oversight, and capital projectsExperience working within owner/operator, institutional, REIT, or private investment environmentsProven success leading property management teams across multiple assetsStrong executive presence with the ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on operationallyExperience improving operational efficiency, tenant satisfaction, and overall asset performanceFamiliarity with commercial property management platforms such as Yardi, Angus, MRI, Building Engines, or similar systems preferredEngagement DetailsInterim consulting engagement with potential for extensionFlexible structure (consulting, fractional, or full-time interim leadership considered)Opportunity to work directly with executive leadership on strategic initiativesPortfolio primarily consists of multifamily and mixed-use assets in growth-oriented marketsIdeal BackgroundCandidates from commercial office owner/operators, institutional real estate firms, REITs, investment management platforms, or third-party commercial property management organizations are strongly encouraged to apply.
