Klawock Island Ventures is seeking Van Drivers to transport guests while providing engaging narration for the 2025 cruise season.Why Join Us?$20/hour pay rate$1,000 contract completion bonus (prorated based on contract completion)Work in a scenic Alaskan locationOpportunity to share local history and culture with visitorsJob Duties:Transport guests safely to and from Klawock Island Ventures, Hoonah Airport, and other destinationsProvide narration to guests during transport about Klawock Island, local history, and attractionsEnsure all equipment is clean, safe, and well-maintainedPerform pre- and post-trip inspections and report any necessary maintenanceCommunicate effectively with supervisors, managers, and vendorsAssist guests who need help getting on and off the vehicleFollow all Alaska driving laws and regulationsParticipate in all required trainingOther duties as assignedWhat We're Looking For:Must be 21 years of ageValid Driver's License with a clean driving record (no DUI, DWI, negligent, or reckless driving citations)Knowledge of Alaska roadway laws and regulationsAbility to pass drug and alcohol testing (pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion)First Aid/CPR certification preferred (or willingness to obtain)Knowledge or willingness to learn about Tlingit cultureMust be able to lift and carry 25 lbsShip Arrival Dates - Choose What Works for You!It's okay if you're not available for all dates!May: 16, 20, 29, 31June: 3, 8, 13, 17, 27July: 1, 5, 11, 15, 25, 26, 29August: 8, 12, 18, 22September: 5, 6, 23Location: Klawock Island Ventures, AlaskaCategory: SeasonalKlawock Island Ventures is a Native-owned and operated enterprise and offers Native Preference under P.L. 93-638.
