Assistant Chemical Batchmaker

Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Chemical Batchmaker to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will support the production of high-quality chemical products by assisting with batch preparation, equipment operation, and adherence to safety and regulatory standards. Your energetic approach will help ensure efficient manufacturing processes while maintaining strict compliance with pharmaceutical and industrial chemical handling protocols. Duties Assist in preparing chemical batches following detailed manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines. Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and material carts to transport raw materials and finished products safely within the facility. Handle industrial chemicals with precision, ensuring proper measurement, mixing, and transfer while adhering to chemical agent handling protocols. Support the setup, calibration, and cleaning of manufacturing machinery, including machining tools when necessary. Follow strict safety protocols by wearing appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection and other safety gear, during all tasks. Maintain accurate documentation of batch records, material logs, and compliance reports in accordance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards. Participate in lean manufacturing initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency in production workflows. Qualifications Prior experience in cosmetic manufacturing facilities or industrial chemical production is highly preferred. Knowledge of GMP, CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices), and regulatory/legal compliance standards in production environments. Mechanical knowledge related to machinery operation, troubleshooting, and basic maintenance is advantageous. Familiarity with laboratory procedures, chemical agent handling, and industrial chemical safety protocols. Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for measurements and recipe adjustments. Valid forklift certification or experience operating material handling equipment is desirable. Strong commitment to safety protocol adherence, including PPE usage and respiratory protection requirements. Experience working with manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and materials handling practices in a regulated environment is essential.
