Come join us!The RoleWe are hiring a Senior Manager of Accounting to lead and scale our accounting function. This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves to dive deep into the details and leading cross-functional initiatives that shape our financial infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in Overjet’s growth journey by owning critical accounting processes, managing the month-end close, working directly with auditors, drafting technical memos, and overseeing financial reporting.The ideal candidate has deep expertise in operational and technical accounting, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is energized by solving complex problems with a high degree of ownership.Responsibilities Lead and own the monthly and quarterly close process, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and internal reporting packagesOversee the preparation of timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with US GAAPManage the external audit process, including all PBC requests, auditor communications, and internal coordination across teamsDraft and review technical accounting memos (e.g., ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 350) and ensure compliance with evolving GAAP standardsMaintain and improve accounting processes for AR, AP, payroll, expense reports, stock-based compensation, and intercompany activityAct as a NetSuite super-user, ensuring data integrity, leading system enhancements, and supporting integrations with upstream and downstream systemsOwn equity accounting and cap table reconciliation in collaboration with Legal and People teamsCollaborate cross-functionally with FP&A, Legal, People, and GTM teams to ensure alignment on financial matters and support strategic initiativesDrive automation and process improvements to increase efficiency, scalability, and accuracy of the accounting functionMentor and manage a team of accountants and third-party resources to deliver high-quality work and support their professional developmentSupport tax filings, compliance reporting, and ad hoc reporting as neededQualifications7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or audit; Big 4 experience strongly preferredCPA (or equivalent) designation requiredExperience managing the close process end-to-end and leading teams through auditsIn-depth knowledge of US GAAP and financial statement preparationStrong technical accounting experience with SaaS revenue recognition under ASC 606Demonstrated ability to draft and review technical memos and white papersExceptional command of AR/AP cycles and operational accountingDeep experience with NetSuite ERP and related integrations (e.g., Ramp, Avalara, Rippling, Carta, etc.)Proven track record of improving processes, automating workflows, and implementing systemsExperience with equity accounting and stock-based compensation under ASC 718Strong leadership and team management experience, including hiring, coaching, and mentoringExcellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex accounting concepts to non-finance stakeholdersBonus QualificationsSaaS or venture-backed startup experienceExperience working in a multi-entity or global company structureExperience with Best Practices for Month End Close and AR PlaybookExperience managing offshore or distributed accounting teamsWhy Overjet?
