IT Programmer

Job Description Summary/ObjectiveDevelop software applications and programs to increase the organization's efficiency and improve the current processes and systems. Maintain applications currently in place and program modifications and improvements as required by the users and systems. Provide support to the organization using new technology and a thorough understanding of the technology used within the company and develop ways to improve its use.Essential functions in the role include:Develop applications as directed by department managementAssist with special projects identified by management bringing an information technology perspective to the solutionIdentify areas and processes that could be improved upon with current software or new software developmentDevelop understanding of new technology and assist in the application of that technology within the organizationDevelop and maintain SQL databases to support applications and developmentProvide secondary support for network administration along with user workstations and servers.Key QualificationsBachelor of Science in Computer Science or ProgrammingPrior work experience preferredGood communication skills; verbal and writtenTechnical QualificationsExperience with SQL or relational databasesAbility to develop and maintain applications using computer programming languageLean Six Sigma Yellow, Green, and/or Black Belt Certified a plusPhysical demands:May be required to work extended hours as neededTravel required: International travel may be required
