Substitute Police Officer - School Resource OfficerPosition SummaryDirectly responsible to the police services administrator in conjunction with school site administration; perform school District police duties, in and about the school sites and other District-owned and operated properties.Work Year: ContinuousEmployee Type: Full and Part TimeSalary: $35.44 per hourHours: On CallSubstitutes are 'on-call' employees serving on a day-to-day basis. Be advised that absences are unpredictable; therefore assignment offers are not guaranteed.ExperienceMust be twenty-one (21) years old by the filing deadline. Two (2) years prior law enforcement experience is desired.EducationHigh school graduation or equivalentAssociate Arts Degree or equivalent is desirableLicenses, Certifications, Bonding and/or Testing RequiredGraduate of the Peace Officers Standards and Training (P.O.S.T.)Basic Academy are required. Basic Academy and Training as identified in California Government Code Section 1031. No Felony convictions under California Government Code Section 1029.
