Cloud Engineer / DevOps Engineer
ActioNet has an immediate opportunity for a Cloud Engineer / DevOps Engineer requiring a Public Trust. Candidates should be drivable distance to Silver Springs, MD or Newport, OR.Travel up to 20% per year is expected.
Salary Range 170-200K
The Cloud / DevOps Engineer will design, deploy, and optimize Azure-based data environments supporting NOAA’s Marine Operations. This role is critical for implementing CI/CD pipelines, managing cloud resources, and ensuring secure, automated data workflows across shipboard and cloud platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Install and configure Azure cloud applications and services
Lead migration of SAMMS resources between Azure subscriptions
Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines for production workflows
Develop cloud dashboards and performance monitoring tools
Support multi-cloud interoperability with external CSPs
Implement RBAC and collaborate with OCIO for cloud security governance
Monitor health and usage of Azure resources
Troubleshoot deployment issues and update workflows
Basic Qualifications (Required):
5 years of experience in Azure Cloud operations and DevOps pipelines
Strong experience with Azure Storage, Compute, Virtual Machines, and RBAC
Proficiency with Python/Bash and automation tools (GitHub, GitLab, Azure CLI)
Experience with Azure Monitor and Application Insights
Strong documentation and DevOps lifecycle management skills
Effective communication skills for diverse stakeholders.
Azure DevOps Engineer Expert certification
Preferred Qualifications:
Linux certifications
