Not medical or dental benefit eligible.Schedule: Practice on Mondays & Wednesdays from 6 - 8pm from April 8 - May 12 at Scenic Heights Elementary & Minnetonka Middle School East Meets on Saturdays & Sundays (3 - 7 pm): April 25, May 2, 10, and 17Job Summary:The Tonka Track and Field League is seeking experienced and passionate individuals to join our coaching team for the track and field league. As a coach, you will be responsible for training and mentoring the athletes, helping them achieve their personal fitness and competitive goals. This role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of elementary students while fostering a supportive and motivating environment.Key Responsibilities: Training Programs:Develop and implement training programs tailored to the needs and goals of the athletes, including warm-ups, drills, and conditioning exercises. Skill Development:Provide instruction and feedback on technique and performance for various track and field events. Event Preparation:Assist athletes in preparing for competitions, including strategy development and mental preparation. Safety and Compliance:Ensure all training sessions and events adhere to safety protocols and league regulations. Motivation and Support:Foster a positive and encouraging atmosphere, offering motivation and support to athletes of all skill levels. Administrative Tasks:Maintain accurate records of athlete attendance, performance, and progress. Communication:Serve as a liaison between athletes, league organizers, and other coaches, ensuring clear and effective communication. Other Duties:Perform other tasks as assigned by the league coordinator. Qualifications: Previous coaching experience in track and field or related sports. Strong knowledge of track and field events and training techniques. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to motivate and inspire athletes. Commitment to creating a positive and inclusive environment. CPR and First Aid certification (preferred). Reliable and able to commit to the full season.Email To A Friend Print Version
