Summary of FunctionsMaintains kitchen/restaurant work areas, restaurant equipment and utensils in clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties. Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsures compliance with the Kalispel Tribe of Indians -Internal Controls and The Kalispel Casino Policies and Procedures. Scrapes food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine. Responsible for clearing all tables and transporting soiled dishes and silverware to the dishwasher area in the kitchen, making sure to stack and sort as deemed appropriate and restock clean bus tubs. Responsible to maintain, clean, and restock all bus stations. Washes pots, pans, and trays. Sweeps and mops kitchen floors. Washes and sanitizes worktables, walls, refrigerators, and racks. Segregates and removes trash and garbage and places it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans. Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas. Requisition cleaning supplies as needed. Cleans and organizes banquet items for set up such as chaffers, plates and utensils. Available and willing to work any changes in hours deemed necessary for business levels Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular good attendance record. May be required to be a panelist for the Internal Review Hearings. This job description does not list all of the duties of this position. EducationHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED) or Kalispel Career Readiness Program Certification. ExperienceOne to three months related experience and/or training helpful; or equivalent combination of education and experience. SkillsSkill in identifying and resolving problems under pressure conditions. Other RequirementsAbility to obtain and maintain a Tribal Work Permit. Washington State Food Handler Permit within 14 days of start date. Hepatitis A Vaccination Preferred. Work nights, weekends and holidays as required. Physical DemandsRequires the ability to lift and/or move objects weighing up to 75 pounds. Constantly requires the ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make fine discrimination in sound. Constantly requires verbally expressing or exchanging ideas of important instructions accurately, loudly, or quickly. Constantly requires working with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm. Constantly requires repetitive movement of the wrists, hands and/or fingers. Often requires walking or moving about to accomplish tasks. Occasionally requires standing and/or sitting for sustained periods of time. Occasionally requires ascending or descending stairs or ramps using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Occasionally requires raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally. Occasionally requires stooping which entails the use of the lower extremities and back muscles. Infrequently requires crouching. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
