By connecting with Pivot Group, you position yourself for roles that match your background and aspirations.Key ResponsibilitiesSet up and operate CNC machinery (mills, lathes, grinders, etc.) according to specifications.Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine part specifications.Monitor machine operations, making adjustments to optimize production and ensure product quality.Perform in-process and final inspections of machined parts using precision measuring instruments.Troubleshoot machine malfunctions and make minor repairs or adjustments to maintain operation.Perform routine maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance and longevity.Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.Recommended QualificationsMinimum X years of experience operating and setting up CNC mills and/or lathes.Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and G-code/M-code.Skilled in using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, bore gauges) for quality inspection.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot machining processes and make necessary adjustments.Strong understanding of various materials (e.g., steel, aluminum, plastics) and their machining properties.Bonus QualificationsProficiency with CAD/CAM software for programming or verificationExperience with advanced metrology equipment (e.g., CMM, optical comparator)Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experienceAbility to perform minor machine maintenance and troubleshootingJob Titles That Should ApplyCNC Machinist, CNC Operator, CNC Programmer, CNC Setter, Machinist, Precision Machinist, CNC Technician, Machine Operator, CNC Machine Operator, CNC Programmer MachinistWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
