Through delivering bespoke solutions to every transaction, the IB team has direct exposure to firm leadership and clients.Managing Director, IB // M&AThe Managing Director, IB // M&A role at Portage Point represents a unique opportunity to assume a wide range of responsibilities and make a significant impact. This Managing Director is a business development and client delivery leader and will leverage the firm\'s rapidly expanding platform to further establish the M&A practice. The Managing Director, IB // M&A will report directly to the IB Practice Line Leader and develop new and existing client relationships, lead complex engagements and ensure all engagements deliverables are high-quality and impactful. You will lead key initiatives, manage discrete workstreams and work closely with senior leaders. If you thrive in a high-performance culture and want to help build the future of a rapidly growing consultancy, this is the right role for you.ResponsibilitiesLead execution of all deliverable workflows necessary to consummate transactions for middle market companies undergoing growth, transformation and transitionSell engagements across a network of senior executives, private equity firms, entrepreneurs, lenders and lawyersReview and analyze client financial statements and projections, financial modeling, accounting, due diligence on balance sheet and P&LsCreate and present client deliverablesNegotiate, document and assist in transaction executionLead internal trainings and best practice sharingLead business development and client relationship effortsSupport talent acquisition and firm-building initiativesContribute to a high-performing, inclusive and values-driven cultureQualificationsBachelor's degree from a top undergraduate programLocated in or willing to relocate to Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Nashville, New York, Palm Beach or PhiladelphiaInvested in a team-based culture, motivated to collaborate in office four days per week and willing to work at client sites as needed15 plus years of middle market investment banking experienceMaintains Series 79, 63 and 24 FINRA license or ability to obtain within 120 days of employmentExperience with privately held and sponsor-backed businessesCommanding knowledge of current market terms and trendsExpertise in project management and client-facing activities, including leading client presentations, business development meetings, developing work plans, planning and execution of work, supervising team and coordinating with other internal and external service providersDemonstrated ability to develop new business across a network of corporate relationships, private equity sponsors, lawyers and / or lendersSuperior written and verbal communication skills, including executive-ready presentation and reporting skillsProven ability to thrive in lean, fast-moving teamsHigh attention to detail, responsiveness and ownership mindsetTrack record of success in high-pressure, client-facing environmentsThe compensation: $1,200,000 - $3,000,000 a year.The City of New York and the State of California require Portage Point to provide compensation for this role. This range represents the anticipated minimum and maximum cash compensation for this position based upon a good faith and reasonable estimate.
