At Notre Dame, your work matters, and so do you!Job DescriptionThe University of Notre Dame Operations, Events, and Safety (UOES) division is currently hiring for on-call/temporary Banquet Servers at Three Leaf Catering and The Morris Inn in our campus Hospitality department. The UOES division oversees the University's event management, hospitality, and customer service functions, while also supporting student life, academic initiatives, research activities, and annual milestone celebrations.Banquet ServerThis position assists with set-up and tear down of banquet events. The Banquet Server will serve food, pour beverages and handle requests of guests in accordance with the University's methods and service standards.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare table service for functions as per direction of the Banquet Captain or Lead Banquet ServerFollow written specifications provided by the events departmentParticipate in equipment removal following meal serviceProfessionally serve banquet functions; serving food, pouring beverages, and handling special requests of guests Follow established guidelines for the safe handling of foodKeep the work area and equipment clean and in good working conditionQualificationsCapable of managing time effectively with minimal supervisionExcellent communication and listening skillsAbility to maintain a standing position for extended periods of time (up to 6 hours at a time)Follow food safety procedures for handling, storing, and serving food productsAdditional InformationPay Rate: $17.50/hr + gratuityThe University of Notre Dame seeks to attract, develop, and retain the highest quality faculty, staff and administration.
