Night Shift- Quality Assurance Technician

SUMMARY OF FUNCTION:The Quality Assurance Technician will perform quality inspections and testing to ensure compliance with all applicable standards. They will also work with production personnel to create and maintain continuous improvement in products and services to our customers.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Inspect product during the extrusion process using calipers, micrometers, tape, and weight scaleCompare product with customer specificationsInspect and tag finished productIssue SAP Quality Notifications as requiredTest incoming raw material and maintain recordsOperate diagnostic equipment needed to perform jobIssue Product CertificationsMaintain neat and orderly work areaFollow all safety requirementsPerform all other duties as assigned or requiredEDUCATION AND / OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:Reading, writing, and mathematical competency testing requiredExperience in quality / inspection procedures preferredComputer skills requiredOCCUPATIONAL AND / OR PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to learn/use laboratory and inspection equipmentGood written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsAble to step over and / or bend under objectsAble to lift up to 50 Ibs with or without reasonable assistanceMust be able to work 12-hour shifts, weekends and nightsWORKING CONDITIONS:Work in manufacturing environment and inside quality control laboratoryMay include outside conditions in all types of weather.EEOPolyPipe is an EEO compliant employer and uses eVerify
