Chicago, IL | Full-Time | $140,000 - $165,000 + CommissionAbout the RoleThis hybrid role is based in Chicago (three days per week in-office) and sits at the center of enterprise growth for a global full-funnel performance media agency. The Business Development Director will own the full sales cycle for net-new enterprise and multi-location brands, from prospecting through close. The work is consultative and strategic, focused on building pipeline across paid media, SEO, and local presence management services.The agency works across SEO, paid media, creative production, analytics, and local optimization, combining data, AI, and creative strategy to deliver integrated campaigns that reach customers from global audiences down to individual store locations. This is a senior individual contributor role with high visibility across leadership and cross-functional teams.What the Role CoversResearching, identifying, and prospecting into net-new enterprise and multi-location brands within target verticalsBuilding and managing a strategic pipeline through proactive outreach, trigger-based prospecting, and relationship developmentUsing CRM tools (HubSpot preferred), LinkedIn, and Sales Navigator to identify, prioritize, and engage high-value accountsDeveloping tailored outreach strategies, including creative and relationship-driven approaches, to secure discovery meetingsUsing events, conferences, and curated prospect experiences to generate new opportunitiesLeading consultative discovery conversations to uncover business challenges and align them with full-funnel capabilities across paid media, SEO, local presence management, and AI-driven solutionsNavigating complex, multi-stakeholder organizations and building relationships across marketing, digital, and executive leadership teamsCollaborating with internal strategy, media, SEO, and local experts to develop customized proposals and pitch narrativesSupporting and leading RFP responses, presentations, and negotiations with senior stakeholdersMaintaining accurate pipeline tracking and forecasting in HubSpotStaying current on industry trends, including AI, search evolution, and digital transformation, to inform prospecting and positioningQualifications5+ years of experience selling digital marketing, media, or agency solutions to enterprise or multi-location brandsProven ability to build pipeline from scratch and navigate long, complex sales cyclesStrong understanding of full-funnel marketing, including paid media, SEO, and local presence managementConsultative sales approach with the ability to translate data, insights, and AI-driven capabilities into clear business outcomesConfidence engaging VP- and CMO-level decision-makersExperience with CRM tools, ideally HubSpotStrong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skillsSelf-motivated and comfortable in a fast-paced, performance-oriented environmentTo ApplyVisit Mediabistro for full details and application instructions.
