Machine Operator - Brighton, CO
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Machine Operator to join our production team in Brighton, CO. As a Machine Operator, you will play a critical role in our manufacturing process by mechanically combining raw materials and operating production equipment to create finished products. Schedule
Monday-Friday: 2PM-10:30PM
15-20 hours of overtime available during the busy season
Must be willing to work mandatory overtime, including weekends and holidays as needed
Job Summary
The Machine Operator is responsible for operating computer-controlled production systems, mixing active solution vessels, premixes, and raw material bases used in the manufacturing process. This position requires monitoring production equipment, maintaining quality standards, troubleshooting machine issues, and ensuring safe and efficient operations throughout the facility.
Essential Responsibilities
Operate a computer-controlled production system for multiple raw material ingredients processed in the mix room
Mix active solution vessels, premixes, and raw material bases according to production requirements
Solve daily operational problems with limited supervision
Maintain excellent housekeeping standards within assigned work areas
Complete daily job checklists and equipment calibration checks
Maintain accurate records of raw materials, samples, and equipment operations
Operate a forklift to transport materials throughout the facility
Perform safety audits and inspections on equipment
Set up machines at the beginning of each shift to ensure proper operation
Calibrate and recalibrate machines as required
Conduct machine testing procedures to ensure optimal performance
Monitor machine operations during production runs
Troubleshoot and resolve machine and production issues
Perform routine and preventative maintenance procedures
Place parts into semi-automated machinery
Conduct random quality tests and inspections
Ensure machines consistently produce products that meet quality standards
Maintain adequate inventory levels of materials needed for production
Complete activity logs and downtime reports accurately
Maintain and clean equipment before and after each shift
Follow all company safety policies and procedures
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to read English and follow written and verbal instructions
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
Ability to identify materials and follow established procedures
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
Ability to stand and walk for the duration of the shift
Ability to climb ladders as needed
Comfortable working in a dusty environment
Ability to work in hot, cold, and varying weather conditions
Capable of performing physically demanding tasks safely and efficiently
Pay: $21.35 - $24.00 per hour
