Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
This opportunity is for an experienced Special Education Teacher to support elementary students in a full-time capacity from now through May 27, 2026. The role involves working within an elementary school environment in Statesville, NC, providing specialized educational services to students with diverse learning needs.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting student assessments, testing, and preparing individualized education programs (IEPs)
Delivering instruction aligned with the EC General Curriculum for cross-categorical disabilities
Managing a caseload of elementary students requiring special education services
Collaborating closely with general education teachers, specialists, and families to ensure comprehensive support and progress monitoring
Qualifications and desired experience:
Valid certification in Special Education
Experience working with elementary-aged children in a special education setting
Proficiency in administering assessments and developing IEPs
Ability to implement individualized instructional strategies for students with various disabilities
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Location and schedule details:
Position located in Statesville, NC
Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM
Full-time hours (37.5 hours per week)
Contract position lasting through the end of the 2025-2026 school year
