With a new, permanent home at UCF’s Academic Health Sciences Center, we will have more space to prepare more Knight nurses with academic excellence and more opportunities to impact more lives with innovative, interdisciplinary research.The OpportunityThe College of Nursing invites applications for a part time research support position on an NIH-funded behavioral clinical trial that examines effectiveness of activity behavior change strategies including wearable activity trackers, coaching, and exercise partners for healthy activity during pregnancy.Classification Title: OPS Sponsored Special ProjectsResponsibilitiesParticipant Management & Consent:Recruit, screen and enroll potential study participants.Conduct the informed consent process in compliance with ethical guidelines.Coordinate and schedule all participant interviews, data collection sessions, and intervention activities.Maintain continuous engagement by performing follow-up with participants via phone, email, and text message from a designated research line.Data Collection & InterventionCollect study data using various methods, including administering questionnaires and managing data from the Fitbit monitoring platform.Deliver core intervention components (e.g., coaching, providing trackers) as outlined by the study protocol.Extract data from medical records as necessary for research purposes.Order and organize all data collection supplies and equipment.Data Entry & AdministrationAccurately enter study data into specialized databases, including Qualtrics and RedCap.Maintain accurate and current records through daily data entry and tracking of participant status.Ensure all data is stored and maintained in the proper format as required by the study sponsor (NIH).Prepare and organize all necessary study materials and documents.Collaboration & ReportingCommunicate effectively with the Principal Investigator, study coordinator, and other research team members.Generate project reports on participant enrollment, retention, and data collection progress for the supervisor or study coordinator.Attend and actively participate in all required weekly project meetings.Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams, including those focused on behavior change and artificial intelligence.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree and 0+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219(6).Preferred QualificationsBachelor's Degree in nursing, psychology, behavioral health, kinesiology or other healthcare disciplines is strongly preferred.One year of healthcare experienceDemonstrated experience in a research settingDemonstrated experience with statistical analysis, including data validation, trend analysis, and error-rate tracking, to support operational decision-making and quality assurance.Demonstrated experience collaborating across various departments and/or stakeholders.Additional Application Materials RequiredIn addition to your application, we encourage applicants to submit a resume and cover letter.Special Instructions To The ApplicantsThe work will primarily be done at the prenatal clinics of OH Winnie Palmer Hospital for Women and Babies.All applicants must be authorized to work for any U.S. employer.
