Manufacturing Manager

The Manufacturing Manager is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing process, managing production teams, ensuring safety standards, and optimizing production efficiency. This role requires strong leadership, problem-solving skills, excellent organizational skills, and a hands-on approach.Key Responsibilities:Production Management:Plan, schedule, and manage production activities to meet production targets.Ensure the efficient use of resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.Monitor production processes to identify and resolve any issues or inefficiencies.Maintain and improve production line efficiency and quality standards.Experience with preventative maintenance to reduce un expect downtime.Team Leadership:Supervise, train, and develop production staff.Foster a positive and productive work environment.Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.Safety and Compliance:Ensure all safety regulations and company policies are followed.Conduct regular safety meetings to hear employees input, safety audits, and implement safety improvement initiatives.Lead assessment of any safety incidents and take appropriate corrective actions.Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions. Work with process engineering to develop improvements to yield, changeover times, and increase line speed in line with company objectives.Reporting and Documentation:Track key objective metrics and determine improvements. Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering field. Must have process manufacturing experience.10 yrs or greater of proven experience as a Manufacturing Manager or in a similar role from the process industry.Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, and tasks scheduling.Must be ready to be hands-on, leading by example.Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Ability to problem-solve and make decisions under pressure.Proficiency in using MS Office Suite.Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.Preferred Qualifications:15 years in a continuous process-oriented manufacturing environment such as a steel mill, chemical plant, or any other continuous processing industry is a plus.Working Conditions:The role typically requires working in a manufacturing environment, which may involve exposure to noise, dust, and heavy machinery.Regular working hours, with occasional overtime and weekend shifts as needed.Benefits:Competitive salary and performance-based bonuses.Health, dental, and vision insurance.401K PTO/Sick leave as defined in the offer letterPaid time off and holidays.Professional development opportunities.
