With a commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction, we are seeking an experienced Sprinkler Inspector to join our dynamic team.Position OverviewAs a Sprinkler/Alarm Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the reliability and functionality of fire systems across various facilities. Your expertise will contribute to the safety and protection of our clients' assets and personnel. You will conduct thorough inspections, identify potential issues, and provide comprehensive reports to clients, adhering to industry standards and regulations. This role will work North of Hartford CT (Northern CT and Western Mass territory). Key ResponsibilitiesPerform routine inspections and testing of fire sprinkler/Alarm systems according to NFPA codes, local regulations, and manufacturer specifications.Conduct functional tests of sprinkler control valves, systems, and associated equipment to verify proper operation.Inspect piping, fittings, and connections for signs of corrosion, leaks, or damage, recommending necessary repairs or replacements.Document inspection findings accurately and comprehensively, including deficiencies, recommendations, and corrective actions taken.Communicate effectively with clients, providing technical guidance, answering questions, and addressing concerns regarding fire protection systems.Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate scheduling, prioritize inspections, and maintain efficient workflow.Stay updated on industry advancements, new technologies, and regulatory changes to enhance knowledge and expertise. Test and inspect fire alarm systems with existing and new customer base. Maintain proper documentation for work performed using tools provided Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment Complete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices such as laptop computers and/or hard copy.Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents via mobile device.Make minor repairs and programming changes to systems being inspected.Must adhere to company safety policies and proceduresCarry/move equipment and tools weighing up to 70lbsPerform work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions, such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipmentMust be able to work alternative shifts or weekends to meet customer needsMust perform all duties in a safe and professional manner & maintain a clean and safe work areaComplete Service Acknowledgements with proper coding through communication devices such as laptop computers and/or hard copy.Follow and maintain a highly structured inspection schedule.Input, retrieve and archive inspection documents via mobile device.Must adhere to company safety policies and proceduresQualifications0 to 2 years of experience in fire protection inspection.This role will work North of Hartford CT (Northern CT and Western Mass territory). Certification as a Sprinkler or Alarm Inspector from a recognized organization (e.g., NICET, NFPA) preferred but not required.Proficiency in interpreting schematics, and technical documents related to fire protection systems.Strong understanding of NFPA codes and standards, NFPA-25/72.Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve complex issues efficiently.Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues.Valid driver's license and clean driving record.Commitment to safety and adherence to company policies and procedures.HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $17.50 - $24.00. Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
