We are QLI.It's not about titles at QLI - we value our people, our creativity, our results, our Mission.The Exercise Assistant on Rehab Campus supports each resident's physical and functional wellness program while collaborating with the therapy team. The exercise assistant will work alongside direct care team members in playing an active role in supporting resident ADL's. This is a physical position with time spent facilitating traditional therapies as well as:Adaptive Sports - think tandem bike riding, rock climbing, archery and golfRehab Technology - use of technology to aide in physical recoveryOther creative therapy methods - you are only limited by your creativityThe Exercise Assistant complies with the resident's therapy program, reports residents' participation & progress in exercise program to therapists, and attends care conferences with residents, family members, and other healthcare professionals.Come join the team that supports your personal and professional growth - become who you are meant to be!A successful candidate will:Understand and provide instruction with exercise program (secondary to plan of care)Accurately complete written documentationPossess knowledge of proper body mechanicsRespond appropriately to feedback from residents and other team membersBe an optimistic and collaborative team playerDemonstrate excellent communication skills, both written and oralBe patient with others and creatively solve problemsPossess excellent customer service skillsDemonstrate an ability to learn new skillsEducation and Certifications:Must be at least 18 years old (required)Certified as a Nursing Assistant in the State of Nebraska (required)** We will provide PAID certification training for the right candidate, if neededVaccination Requirements: Annual flu vaccine is required during flu season.
