Must be able to operate computerized slurry batching systems, understand formulas, and keep processing systems full of meat slurry. Responsible for the inspection of all incoming ingredients and the unloading of ingredients. Maintain communication with other operators and keep a safe and clean work area. MUST HAVE FORKLIFT EXPERIENCE!Key ResponsibilitiesInspect slurry meats before unloading.Measure liquid tanks, monitor temperature, fill out daily paperwork, track sheet, truck log, inventory sheets and distribute.Unload bulk totes & frozen meat totes.Use correct procedures for CIP of meat slurry systems.Communicate with other operators.Enter formulas into slurry computer.Clean up unloading area, and cooler areas.Communicate with driver, buyer, truckers, team leaders, and sanitation.Keep processing extrusion supplied with feed as needed.Check and maintain correct paperwork, daily log, batching sheet.Communicate with shift supervisors, meat operator from other shifts, extruder operators, and unloader.Correct traceability procedures.Responsible for weighing up and dumping hand adds.Responsible for maintaining and cleaning work area.Correct operation of the batching systems.Setup and operate slurry system.Operate a fork truck to feed meat into whole pallet meat dumper.Maintain sanitation in slurry kitchen.Unload trucks of frozen ingredients, packing supplies and put in proper place.Enter all unloading into proper documents.Inspect frozen ingredients before unloading.Take inventories.Ensure that we have supplies to run schedule.Close communication with team leader, other material handlers, quality assurance & extrusion throughout shift.Maintain accurate quality and unloading records.Demonstrate good work attendance, good communication skills, the ability to work well with others, and the willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidaysFollow Good Manufacturing Practices.Maintain a clean, sanitary and safe work area.Follow all required work safe practices. This would include wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area.Report any food safety, quality or safety related issues to management immediately.Ability to work as part of a team.Assist fellow employees as needed.
