Role: Solution Architect - AWS Infrastructure & Platform EngineeringLocation: Coppell, TX or Jersey City, NJ & Tampa, FL (Hybrid)FTERole Overview:We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to design and engineer enterprise infrastructure solutions across AWS compute, storage, networking, database, security/IAM, shared services, and Kubernetes-based platforms. The individual will work closely with Application Architects and Development teams to translate logical application designs into secure, scalable, highly available infrastructure solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesTranslate application architecture and requirements into infrastructure-aligned solution designs.Design solutions across Compute, Storage, Networking, Database, IAM, Security, Kubernetes and AWS platform services.Create detailed technical designs, architecture diagrams, deployment specifications, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).Partner with engineering teams through build, deployment, testing, validation, and production readiness.Design for high availability, resiliency, multi-region deployment, and disaster recovery.Integrate enterprise shared services and security controls into AWS-based application platforms.RequiredSkillsStrong hands-on experience with AWS architecture and engineering.AWS Landing Zone concepts including:Account structures and multi-account environmentsVPC, Security Groups, Cloud WANPrivateLink and VPC EndpointsEBS, EFS, FSx and S3Network Load BalancersEC2, OpenShift and/or Amazon EKS/KubernetesSDN/networking and F5 GTMIdentity & Access Management, Identity Federation, Secrets Management and PKIDatabase architecture and availability including AWS RDS and Aurora Global DatabaseStrong understanding of OS, host-based firewalls, application stacks and network architecture.Shared Services / Integration ExperienceExperience integrating applications with technologies such as:Apigee - API GatewayPing - Reverse Proxy / IdentityRedis - Database/CachingConfluent Kafka - StreamingIBM MQ - MessagingHashiCorp Vault - Secrets ManagementSnowflake - Database/Data AccessExperienceBachelor's degree preferred.5+ years of infrastructure engineering/architecture experience.Minimum 5+ years of cross-functional engineering experience spanning multiple disciplines such as compute, storage, networking, databases, shared services, security and AWS.Strong communication skills with the ability to work across Application Development, Architecture, Infrastructure and Engineering teams.
