Mechanical Engineer

Job Title: Mechanical EngineerJob DescriptionJoin our dynamic team as a Mechanical Engineer, where you will play a key role in developing projects from concept to launch. This role requires a balance of design work and problem-solving, with a strong focus on design for manufacturability. You will spend half of your time using Creo and the other half addressing design challenges to ensure products are ready for successful market introduction.Responsibilities+ Utilize Creo for development design work.+ Collaborate with Program Managers to ensure timely and satisfactory project delivery.+ Work alongside Manufacturing Engineers to troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues, making necessary design changes.+ Engage with the purchasing team and suppliers, providing CAD data, models, and drawings.+ Collaborate with the tool shop to create or modify tools.+ Develop new plastic designs and work with the molding department to assess moldability.+ Participate in hands-on testing, executing pre-outlined equipment tests.+ Support Neocon Projects by conducting tests and preparing products for manufacturability and production launch.+ Lead heavy design efforts for Demanded Projects, involving tool modifications and creations.Essential Skills+ Bachelor's Degree in Engineering+ 5+ years of Mechanical Engineering experience+ Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks or Creo preferred)+ Experience in new product development and prototype design+ Understanding of design for manufacturability+ Experience with multiple materials such as plastic injection molding, die casting, aluminum extrusions, metal fabrication, and formed sheet metalAdditional Skills & Qualifications+ Formal or informal leadership experience+ Experience working cross-functionally with different departments+ Ability to take initiative and share ideas with the team+ Experience in rough metal fabrication, including break forming, sheet metal, light welding operations, machining, mill, lathe, and CNC+ Proficiency in SmartsheetsWork EnvironmentThis is a full-time position with a standard schedule of 40 hours per week, typically from 8 AM to 5 PM with a flexible 1-hour lunch break.You will be part of a supportive team including a Project Manager, Engineers, and other team members.This role offers a hands-on environment perfect for individuals passionate about ideation and prototyping.
