Dover Behavioral Health System is a 104-bed acute care psychiatric hospital located in Dover, Delaware. The hospital offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs.
Responsibilities
The Chief Nursing Officer is a key member of the Dover BH Leadership Team, integrating and coordinating a patient‑centric nursing strategy focused on delivering high-quality, cost‑effective care in alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, values, and regulatory requirements. The CNO participates in strategic planning and drives achievement of institutional goals.

Qualifications
Current license or permit to practice professional nursing in the state of Delaware.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a CCNE accredited program; Master of Science in Nursing strongly preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge of behavioral health nursing clinical practices and management.
Extensive knowledge of nursing and patient care principles and practices.
Demonstrated knowledge of effective management and supervisory practices; highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
Three or more years of progressive nursing management experience.
Ability to plan, direct, and monitor others’ activities with demonstrated leadership that contributes to a positive work environment.
