Role: Enterprise API Architect (API Governance Lead)Location: RemoteWho are we looking for?The Enterprise API Architect will define and enforce API governance standards across the organization, driving design consistency, security compliance, versioning strategy, and lifecycle management using Swagger Studio.Key ResponsibilitiesGovernance & DesignDefine enterprise API design standards (OpenAPI 3.x)Establish naming, error handling, and payload conventionsCreate reusable Swagger templates and domain modelsDefine API lifecycle (Design Build Test Publish Retire)Lead API Design Review BoardSecurity & ComplianceDefine OAuth2/OIDC standards and JWT claims structureEstablish rate limiting, throttling, and gateway policy standardsEnsure compliance alignment (e.g., SOX, HIPAA, GDPR as applicable)Conduct API threat modeling and security reviewsVersioning & LifecycleDefine versioning and backward compatibility strategyEstablish deprecation and retirement policiesCreate consumer notification modelGovernance EnablementIntegrate Swagger validation into CI/CDDefine API maturity scoring frameworkPublish governance playbooks and standards documentationRequired Skills10+ years enterprise integration experienceStrong OpenAPI/Swagger expertiseExperience with API Gateways (Apigee, Kong, Azure APIM, etc.)Deep understanding of REST principles and microservicesExperience implementing API governance at scalePreferredSmartBear Swagger Studio / SwaggerHub experienceCloud-native architecture (AWS/Azure/GCP)Regulatory environment exposureQualification:Somebody who has at least 10+ years of work experience.Education qualification: Any degree from a reputed collegeDiverse Lynx LLC is an Equal Employment Opportunity employer.
